Our Portfolio
Let's talk!No job is too big or too small for us to consider. What it all boils down to is passion, impact, and innovation. We love to build applications that solve real-world problems with clients that share elements of our U.N.I.C.O.R.N. standards. We stand by our ideals and strive to build solutions that intersect as many of these standards as possible.
From tech giants like Google to brand new startups such as Bowery, we have helped a lot of businesses accelerate growth and find innovative tech solutions. If you have what it takes to be a Unicorn, get in touch and let's make something magical together!

Allen Insurance Partners
Website
Unicorn is now a subsidiary of the Leavitt Group, one of the largest privately held insurance agencies in the world. As a part of the Leavitt family, we continually invest in products and services that further initiatives of other subsidiaries and partners within the ecosystem. AIP is one such initiative. Unicorn helped refine the brand, website and business automation tools. We built integration tools with Microsoft Dynamics and helped improve their sales funnel processes.
Allen Marketing Group

As a partner of Allen Marketing Group, we invest in products that automate business operations. From web to desktop applications, we are continually pushing the envelope for AMG. We have serviced numerous clients together, consulted some of the largest brands, and created four products. These inter-agency relationships allow us to grow together for the benefit of others.
Ascendant Technology
Case Study
Before Ascendant Technology (aka "Atech") was acquired by Avnet, they were a very large IBM services company. Unicorn and Atech worked side by side for a few years in their Denver, Colorado offices. We serviced and consulted as a tech partner to Atech, on open source initiatives for companies such as BackCountry.com and Red Bull.
Chase

When Chase was working on a website redesign and mobile app integration, they brought on Unicorn to help rapidly prototype and consult on architecture and security. As consultants, we helped Chase save at least 45% in cost by guiding the architecture and team that would end up building their current mobile application. We also helped audit and secure their application through quality assurance and penetration testing.
Comcast
Case Study
Comcast and Unicorn have worked together since spring of 2010. We have worked on many different prototypes, and product releases for the sales and marketing side of the company. Our first engagement began when Comcast set out to rebrand and redesign their sales products and tools. What seemed like a simple website at first actually had many complex features and requirements.
CopperWorks

We have been collaborating with The Christman Company to build an iPad app which makes construction management simple. Over the last few years building this application, we have come to understand the ins and outs of the industry, and invested in products that solve real problems. CopperWorks is one such application produced, and we are in the process of making a public version of the product as well.
Dish

We have designed and developed numerous marketing and informational websites for Dish: an affiliates portal, customer account management, and region-specific hubs. One of our greatest achievements with Dish involved implementing Schema (which was new at the time) which increased their search engine presence and effectively lead to more user signups.
Duby
Case Study
When startups hit critical mass, performance issues and weaknesses in infrastructure become very apparent. When the user base on Duby grew to millions of users in a matter of weeks, their application architecture started feeling the pressure. We stepped in to rearchitect the stack and make the platform scalable.
Gatorade

In an interagency collaboration with Smart Design, we rapidly prototyped a newly conceived Hydration Management application for mobile. This application featured numerous data integration points with other bio-tech hardware and complex algorithms developed by leading sports scientists at Gatorade Labs.
Google Maps

We have worked on a few projects in partnership with Big Spaceship out of NY. One such project involved building a minimal neural network application that would respond to a corresponding ad campaign through Twitter. To make this possible, we became direct partners with Twitter to get access to a brand new API and UI layer (Cards) to support the rich content and A/B responses to these custom ads.
Lighthouse
Case Study
It all started with an exceptional dining experience. A little restaurant in Cedar City, Utah had just come under new management. The new owner was a fantastic cook with an inspiring backstory. Starting a new business is no easy task. Lighthouse was a little-known, seafood-lover gem, struggling with all the facets of startup life.
Samsung
Case Study
In one of our most challenging projects to date, Unicorn built out software for the Samsung Unpacked event, which boasted millions of requests per second from hundreds of thousands of viewers world wide. This was possible through a strong collorative effort between Google engineers (specifically the Youtube team) and Big Spaceship creatives.
Tech Cocktail
Case Study
TechCocktail has been on the fast-track to success. Our services have had no bounds with TechCocktail as we have helped them re-brand, rebuild, and re-think their entire business model and online presence. We are proud to have a relationship with such a high energy company and founders that are not afraid to push the boundaries with their brand or content presentation.
Unicorn.TV
Case Study
With the announcement of Swift we saw a market emerge almost overnight. We seized the opportunity and created a learning platform to help developers learn how to program with Swift to make iOS applications. The site has since grown and adapted to other communities and languages such as Go, Ruby, and JavaScript.
